Model & Student Services
We believe that everyone deserves great hair, and that new stylists in our industry deserve great education.
By combining these two beliefs we are able to offer Model Services when our Apprentices start learning a new skill, and then Student Services as they’ve started to hone those skills while building their books.
This creates a wonderful opportunity for new clients to our salon to get the Metropolis Experience at an unbeatable investment as these talented new stylists grow into the amazing artists we know they’re going to be.
MODEL SERVICES
These services are available in the first two to three weeks that our Apprentices are learning a particular skill set. We start with classroom education, mannequin work, and then open them up to take on live models at an unbeatable value, so that they can being mastering their craft, while you enjoy the Metropolis Experience. So who is a good candidate for model services? If you’re patient, kind, willing to offer feedback, and have your picture taken then that’s about it. Our apprentices are not only working on their technical skill, but also their timing and customer service. You are an integral part of that process, and we are so thankful that you’re willing to share your time with us.
Models should arrive with makeup/refined or defined skin and features. Dress in solid dark or neutral colors with no logos or graphics. Allow ample time for services to ensure that apprentices have adequate time for instruction, and you have adequate time for your dream hair.

Your model service will include a relaxing shampoo & scalp massage followed by a full blow dry style with light iron work if needed.
This Model service is not intended for anyone with extremely dense or naturally textured hair, or looking for significant curl/iron work as those are a different model service.

Coverage

For those looking to cover or blend grey regrowth, or touch up slightly grown-out all-over color. Ideal for brunettes, redheads, and warm golden blondes who typically refresh their roots every 4–8 weeks without any dimensional highlighting.
We use a custom-blended formula to touch up your roots and balance the rest of your hair with a healing color glaze that enhances tone, shine, and overall hair health.
This experience focuses on refreshing regrowth with permanent or demi-permanent color, and rebalancing the ends with demi-permanent color.
3 Hours
Luxe

For those that are 3 or 4 months since your last Dimensional Color. This is the biggest impact service, which we recommend once or twice a year to maintain your overall color and create the luxurious end result from your very first visit, or if you have substantially thick hair.

MODERN BLONDE COLOR
If you’re a Blondie who likes that bright freshly highlighted look, maybe even some brighter ends, look no further. If you’re accustomed to visiting the salon every 6-12 weeks for highlights we recommend Modern over Dimensional Color. This is also an option for Redheads, Brondes, & Brunettes that like more impact with lighter pieces, and less low maintenance looks.
We utilize foils, balayage, glosses, and different techniques to add lighter/brighter pieces throughout your head. No root adjustments needed as this service is for those that don’t like to have a darker root area, and are all about seeing pieces of lightness all the way to the scalp.

For those 8 weeks or less since your last Modern Color.
Refresh the brightness in your hair on all the places that show most: around your face, through the top of your hair, and your back hairline if needed.

Enhancement

For those 10 weeks or less since your last Modern Color. Enhance your brightness throughout the entire head to update your hair to what it was after your first appointment.

For those that are 3 months or less since your last Modern Color. This is the biggest impact service, which we recommend once or twice a year to maintain your overall color and create the luxurious end result from your very first visit, or if you have substantially thick hair.

COVERAGE COLOR
For those looking to cover or blend their grey hair regrowth, or touch up a slightly grown out all over color. Perfect for Brunettes, Redheads, and Warm Golden Blondes that touch up their roots every 4-8 weeks. If you’re an all over/global bleach platinum blonde, we recommend our Transformative Color Services. Choose our Enhancement & Luxe options if you’d like to add some dimensional pieces of light that break up the overall solid color with foils or balayage.

For those that are about 8 weeks or less since their last Coverage Color. We consider this normal maintenance to help cover your entire regrowth and refresh your tone throughout the mids & ends.

Enhance your base color while adding a little dimension around the face or surface of your hair with customized lightening techniques. This also includes a color balancing and healing glaze to tone the highlighted parts of your hair.
